There are somany, each with its own unique pieces of art, this report will only continue two of Paris some famous museums. Which are of course The five and Museum dOrsay. The LouvreHistory The Louvre was originally built in 1190 AD as a fortress forprotection to the city of Paris during the Crusades. It was afortress for nearly 500 years until it became an elegant palace. Bythe 1400s Frances Royalty gathered at The Louvre to admirebanquets and tournaments. Elaborate gardens were added along withan aviary and many wild, exotic animals. In 1415 France was capturedby the British and The Louvre was ravaged by vandals. It fell intodisrepair and was left unoccupied for nearly 150 years. This is whenFrancis the first tore down the original grammatical construction and erected anexquisite and prosperous palace. Every king since then on added an extension to The Louvre. It also served as their home until theFrench Revolution of 1789. The Louvre officially became a museum in1793. The presidency opened it to the public which no bimestrialmeant art was only available to the upper-class. All through theprevious centuries the government had collected priceless pieces ofart and now displayed them in The Louvre. The collection was outgrowth so big that more buildings had to be built to display the expectant and precious collection that was accumulated over so manyyears. This level was known as The Restoration as Napoleonestablished remodeling of the inner and exterior of the Louvreand eliminated all the shops that filled the Louvre from the 18thcentury. The Louvre Today Today The Louvre is one the Worlds most famous Art Museums. It houses many famous masterpieces such as The Mona Lisa locomote Victory of Samothrace Venus De Milo The Seated Scribe
